It started with two couches on the side of the road. Seth spotted them and figured — free furniture, instant man cave. His parents saw it differently: now they'd have to pay to haul them away when the plan inevitably fell apart. That one comment stuck. If getting rid of junk was this much of a headache, other people probably felt the same way — just without a truck and a stubborn teenager willing to do something about it. So Seth built Varsity Hauling & Demolition: a locally owned, student-run team serving the North Shore and Chicagoland suburbs with fast, honest junk removal, cleanouts, and demolition. Over 1,000 jobs later, we're still the crew that shows up, hauls it away, and gets it done right — no couches required.
The Varsity Story
The Varsity Promise
Junk removal isn't just about hauling stuff away — it's about where it goes next.
That's why every job comes with The Varsity Promise: whenever possible, we donate usable furniture instead of dumping it, recycle what we can, and keep as much out of landfills as possible. To date, we've donated over $20,000 worth of furniture to families and organizations who needed it.
Because a couch someone's done with might be exactly what someone else needs — and giving back is just part of how we do business.
